In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing innovative, efficient, and actionable technology solutions to drive front-end channels (including the digital bank mobile app and digital wallet) in your assigned region. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners to translate customer needs into use cases and high-level requirements, and to identify suitable solutions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that products are delivered on time, under budget, and with successful deployment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead work on innovative, actionable and efficient technology solutions to drive front-end channels (digital banking mobile app and website).
  • Collaborate with Product Owner to filter customer needs into use-cases and high-level requirements and identify suitable solutions.
  • Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.
  • Ensure that products are delivered according to plan, under budget and deployed successfully.
  • Build and lead talented team of front-end engineers. Recruit, develop, and mentor world-class engineering talent.
  • Lead Agile development process at scale.
  • Integrate new technologies into the Digital Ecosystem.
  • Provide direction and guidance on solution designs and architecture to ensure appropriate fit within enterprise standards.
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to the web production team.
  • Ensure that the development team follows standard SDLC, and PLC procedures and processes.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and other stakeholders with planning and scheduling of product releases.
  • Work with manager and peers to proactively suggest areas of improvements and enhancements.
  • Work with industry partners in integrating our systems with other applications or systems.
  • You will propose the most optimum technical solutions in order to drive industry “best in class” KPI results.
  • Work with outsourcing vendors on resource budget and allocation.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.

Role Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end engineering, as well as minimum 2 years of experience in leading teams, although candidates with other relevant experience will be considered.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, OOPs, and OOA/D.
  • Experience with UX/UI concepts, architecture design and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience extending low-code platforms with custom coded componentry.
  • 5 years of experience building web and mobile applications (using Angular, .NET, and other technologies) with at least one year of OutSystems (or equivalent tool) specific development experience
  • Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design, and web application performance.
  • Experience in web applications, project delivery, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with OutSystems Integration, Component/Add-on s Development will be valuable.
  • Someone with a proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code using OutSystems, APIs and/or similar scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated experience in modern programming languages (for example, Java/C++, NodeJS, C#/.NET, Angular) and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience in building a microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
  • Proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.
  • Excellent decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
  • English fluency a must.
