Required Skills and Experience 1. Current New York State Registered Nurse professional license. 2. Degree from an accredited school of nursing or college. 3. Minimum of one year experience as a nurse providing direct patient care in a certified home care agency. 4. Current and valid driver’s license and auto insurance and a vehicle which can be used for work. 5. Self-directed and organized with the ability to work independently. 6. Good oral and written communication skills. 7. Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing or related field preferred What You Need to Know - Instruct new staff in agency policy and procedure - Verify appropriate technique in demonstration of new skills in both the home and simulated setting - Provide support and ongoing education for existing staff with identified performance deficits - Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet agency needs or as demonstration to staff. - Thru joint visits, direct observation, chart review, and other methods as needed to track development of new staff or existing staff - Ensure compliance of new staff or existing staff under with established standards of documentation to provide evidence of skilled, medically necessary intervention. - Mentor new staff in the role and responsibilities of a case manager
